In northern Benin, an improvised explosive device IED explosion resulted in the death of two soldiers.

Local sources report that the troops killed were occupants of a military vehicle that hit an IED planted by unidentified armed in Karimama, a commune situated along the country’s shared border with Niger.

The Beninese government is yet to comment on the latest attack.
