The African Union (AU) is due to inaugurate an African credit
rating agency in the upcoming year.
Misheck Mutize, lead expert on country support for rating agencies within the AU. He affirmed yesterday, that the new agency would establish its own evaluation of lending risks in order to tackle the AU’s concerns over perceived unfairness of ratings on the continent.
