Nigerien President Mohammed Bazoum has arrived in Chad to attend the funeral ceremony of Marshal Idriss Déby Itno who died on Tuesday 19 April.
The Guinean president Alpha Condé and Mali's transitional president, Bah Ndaw, have also landed on Chadian soil.
The funeral, scheduled for Friday, is expected to take place with great pomp and ceremony at the Place de la Nation and then at the Grand Mosque before the body is taken to Amdjarass for burial.
