Africa is set to receive 500,000 doses of Mpox vaccines by the end of this year.

On Wednesday, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and Bavarian Nordic, the manufacturer of the Mpox vaccine, signed an agreement to ensure the supply of these doses to the continent in 2024.
