A new Vice President has been appointed by Gambian President Adama Barrow following the passing of Aliou Badara Joof in India last month after a brief
Muhammad B.S Jallow was appointed Vice President last in accordance with the existing laws of the Republic of The Gambia.
Jallow, an experienced Civil Servant, served in different capacities, from a teacher to Permanent Secretary in various Ministries.
He rose to the position of Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service until his statutory retirement in 2020.
