Discussions on day two of the 2023 African Union/Network of African National Human Rights Institutions policy dialogue centered on ensuring the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) does not violate people’s rights while conducting business.
This dialogue has brought together human rights actors and institutions from across the continent at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The primary objective of the dialogue is to influence the AfCFTA document to take into account the human rights of the African population.
