The Nigerian Senate adopted a bill on Thursday that provides life imprisonment for those who manufacture explosives illegally in the country.
This bill is also expected to be discussed in the House of Representatives in the coming.
Nigeria faces attacks from terrorist organizations Boko Haram and ISWAP, including armed gangs in different parts of the country.
Most of the explosives used by terrorists and armed gang members are homemade from ammonium nitrate and urea which can be found in the country.
