Cote d’Ivoire’s former First Lady Simone Gbagbo is calling for a consensual dialogue between the government and opposition political parties ahead of the September 2, 2023 elections.
Speaking during a meeting in Bouaké, a metropolis in the Ivorian capital, Simone emphasized that this dialogue is crucial for ensuring fair and transparent elections and preventing a repeat of the post-election crisis of 2010-2011.
She also asked for forgiveness from the victims of the previous crisis.
