In Côte d’Ivoire, the telecommunications regulatory authority has announced a reduction in the price of mobile Internet connections.

Mobile data rates were increased on April 6.

A decision that did not go down well with consumers who, at the request of a member of parliament, decided to launch a boycott campaign.

The Cote d’Ivoire telecom regulator has finally reversed its decision.

Consumers intend to continue the boycott until the measure is truly effective.

Sankulleh Janko has more.
