Authorities have taken legal measures to involve citizens in the fight against armed groups.

The Transitional Legislative Assembly has recently passed a law that establishes Watch and Development Committees to be formed in all villages.

These committees will be responsible for alerting the authorities about any suspicious movements, as well as taking action for the development of their local communities.
