In Cote d’Ivoire, two new members to the Central Commission of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) have been appointed by President Alassane Ouattara.

Abidjan.net citing a decree reported that the first appointee Dan Jules Demonsthène, was nominated by the ruling Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP).

The second personality, Demba Traoré, was proposed by the party of former President Laurent Gbagbo, the African Peoples Party-Côte d’Ivoire (PPA-CI).

The two newly-appointed officials will have to take their oaths of office shortly at the Constitutional Council before taking their seats on the Central Commission of the IEC.
