In Mali, the leaders of the Bamako Press House intend to file a complaint at the court after the building was ransacked on Monday.
Bandiougou Danté, president of the press house said the raid occurred amid the launch of a new opposition platform.
Dante explained that leaders of the press house remain stunned after the ransacking of their premises in the Malian capital Bamako.
According to him, the unexpected attack by thugs followed by brawls and throwing of chairs disrupted a press conference by a new opposition platform known as ‘The Call of February 20 to Save Mali’
This platform is made up of a dozen political parties and civil society organizations opposed to the constitutional reform project which they argued is in favour of civil elections.
While a complaint is being filed to prevent the reoccurrence of such an act, this is the first time that the building has been attacked and ransacked.
