A court in the Ivorian commercial hub – Abidjan has postponed until Thursday, February 2, 2023, the appeal trial of relatives of the former president of the National Assembly Guillaume Soro.
In total, 12 people including Soro’s former chief of protocol and former security chief were sentenced at the court of first instance to 20 years in prison for conspiracy and attempt to undermine state security.
The case dates back to 2019, precisely on December 23, when Guillaume Soro failed to return to Côte d’Ivoire.
