The Ivorian government has deployed its locally manufactured minibuses into use after more than a year since the process began.
The 40 buses were from start to finish assembled by a manufacturer called SOTRA industries.
Commissioning the first fleet on Thursday, the Ivorian Minister of Transport Amadou Koné handed the buses over to urban transport companies based in the municipalities of Yopougon and Abobo in the north of Abidjan.
