The second ministerial conference on the Accra Initiative to fight terrorism in the West African sub-region is to begin today, Monday, Nov 21 in Accra.
The conference will bring together heads of State and ministers from seven-member states from the sub-Saharan region to discuss how to address the deteriorating security situation in the Sahel region.
Ghana’s National security minister Albert Kan Dapaah made the announcement at a media briefing in Accra.
Benin, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo, Niger, and Ghana will be participating in the conference with Nigeria admitted as an observer state.
