Liberia’s ruling party split over president Weah’s ‘dollar rally’

In Liberia, some members of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, are calling for a boycott of an upcoming rally intended to raise money to support President Weah’s second term presidential bid.

Called the ‘dollar rally’ where, each party supporter is asked to bring one dollar each towards the upcoming election, the group under the banner—Disenchanted CDCians Movement insists an endorsement of a Weah second term bid will further derail the progress of the country.
