Businesses have begun shutting down operations amid fear of an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria's capital city, Abuja.
This followed warnings by the United States embassies and others about a planned terror attack on government buildings, places of worship, schools, markets, shopping malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, athletic gatherings, transport terminals, law enforcement facilities, and international organizations.
The intelligence was followed by an advisory to its citizens living in Nigeria to be cautious and avoid public places.
