The Gambian government is seeking legal advice against an Indian pharmaceutical company Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited that produced paracetamol syrups which are linked to 66 deaths in the country.
This comes following an alert issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) that the pharmaceutical company is yet to provide guarantees on the safety and quality of the said products.
