The World Health Organization (WHO) launched a "medical product alert" on Wednesday after the detection in the Gambia of four dangerous medical products whose use could be the cause of the death of 66 children.
Promethazine Oral Solution, Kofexmalin Baby Cough Syrup, Makoff Baby Cough Syrup and Magrip N Cold Syrup, all made by Indian company Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited, are the offending pediatric products, the world health body announced.
