Some streets in the Senegalese capital city Dakar are inundated following a downpour last Friday.

Videos filmed by affected persons and shared via social media platforms suggest huge material damage and flooding of homes, shops and office accommodations.

As Abdullahi Hassan reports, the information on casualties remains unconfirmed by the authorities but eyewitness accounts speak of two people killed in the flood.
