Ahead of the summit of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government scheduled for next Sunday in Accra, the organization’s mediator for Burkina Faso, former Nigerien President, Mahamadou Issoufou, will return to Ouagadougou this today, Friday, 1 July, 2022.

After its first contact visit on 17 and 18 June, this time the mediation is expected to get down to business with the presentation of a new acceptable timetable for a return to constitutional order by the transitional authorities.
