The ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions – ECONEC, said Sierra Leone's electoral system has addressed most of the recommendations made by the 2018 Elections observers’ Mission ahead of the next general elections on June 24 2023.

The ECONEC Regional Chairperson, Ibrahim Coulibaly-Kuibien, made this known at a briefing in Freetown after the commission’s visit to assess the state of the implementation of their recommendations.
