Watford have said that Senegalese winger, Ismaila Sarr has suffered a knee ligament injury, ruling him out for the rest of the year.
Sarr, 23, sustained the injury in the 4-1 victory over Manchester United earlier this month and will now miss the entirety of the club’s festive schedule
“(Sarr) will require a further scan in around a month’s time — whereupon the club will publish an update on his condition,” the Premier League club said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Until then, he will continue to be monitored and assessed by the club’s medical team.”
The development puts the winger at risk of missing the Africa Cup of Nations slated for January/February in Cameroon.
