A Nigerian army general and three soldiers were killed during an attack by the Boko Haram split group, Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants in the northeastern state of Borno.
Army spokesman Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu said in a statement during the weekend that, the troops had encountered ISWAP fighters in Borno state's Askira Uba local government area.
