The Civil Society Organisations in the Gambia have expressed shock and dismay over President Adama Barrow’s National People’s Party NPP's decision to form an alliance with former ruling Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction APRC.
Gambians have been expressing their rage over the decision and the CSOs have added their voice.
They called on the Barrow government to implement the recommendations of the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission which is expected to deliver its report to the president this month.
Chairman of the Coalition of CSOs John Charles Njie emphasized that victims of human rights abuses cannot be ignored adding all perpetrators must be brought to justice.
