Discussions are rife in Benin over the whereabouts of former president Boni Yayi who has been outside for close to 5 months. While his party says he is not in exile, many in Cotonou believe that is the case as several relatives of the former Beninese president are being prosecuted for alleged involvement in the violence during the last presidential election.

Political analyst Dr Eugène Alossoukpo, says former President Yayi can be suspected of being involved with the accused due to his absence.
