Following a BBC report indicating that 450,000 Covid vaccine doses have been destroyed in nine African countries including Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone's National Covid 19 Emergency Response Center {NaCOVERC} says the country has not yet destroyed theirs.

The station quoted a World Health Organization (WHO) official.

The authorities said that a decision was made not to administer the remaining doses once NACOVERC had  known about  their expiration period.
