The highly contagious Indian variant of COVID-19 known as Delta, has been detected in Ghana.

This has raised concerns about the country’s level of preparedness and general compliance with preventive protocols, especially because this variant is said to be responsible for India’s explosive second wave and is rapidly spreading in the U.K.
