Senegal’s President Macky Sall has declared today, Thursday, March 11, 2021, a National Day of Mourning in memory of the victims of the latest demonstrations.
At least 11 people were killed during violent demonstrations by supporters of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko, who was accused of rape and subsequently arrested.
