The watchman of the Government Secondary School in Jangebe, Zamfara State, Nigeria has been mentioned as a culprit in the abduction of the over 279 schoolgirls last month.
The girls were abducted by unidentified assailants from their boarding school on February 26 and taken to a forest.
A few days later, they were freed, although the conditions that resulted in their release are unknown.
Speaking to privately owned television station Channels TV in Nigeria on Wednesday night, state governor, Bello Matawalle, said the security man had been mentioned by the victims, adding that there were attempts to sabotage the rescue mission.
