Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has emphatically stated that same-sex marriage will not be legalized in Ghana.
This comes days after the LGBTQI office in Accra was locked up by the police and the occupants of the office given one week to vacate the premises.
Already, there have been divergent views on the presence of the office and the operations of the group with some demanding clarity on what the law says about LGBTQI rights in Ghana.
