The Supreme Court of Liberia has placed a stay order on the imprisonment of the Board of Commissioners of the National Elections Commission by members of the Liberian Senate.
Recently the Chairperson of the Commission, Davidetta Brown-Lansanah and her Commissioners were held in contempt by the Senate Plenary for allegedly violating Article 83(c) of the Liberian Constitution and reprimanded with a prison sentence.
