The Gambia is set to approve and domesticate the convention against torture for the first time.
The tiny country is also set to launch the first judicial strategic plan as part of efforts to overhaul its judicial system.
The announcement was made by President Adama Barrow during the opening of Legal Year 2021 in Banjul.
