Ghana’s Electoral Commission has described the election petition filed by the National Democratic Congress’s John Dramani Mahama as incompetent and without merit.
Recall that last month, the opposition political party, filed a petition at the Supreme Court, challenging the outcome of the December 7 polls, announced in favour of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Also responding to the Supreme Court petition is the governing New Patriotic Party, who have equally asked for the dismissal of the matter immediately rather than allowing it travel the mandatory 42 days.
