The twelve candidates in Ghana’s Presidential election have successfully balloted for their positions on the December 7 ballot sheet. On Tuesday evening, representatives from the governing New Patriotic Party, the largest opposition political party, the National Democratic Congress and other minority parties, as well as an independent candidate all converged on the electoral commission for the exercise.
In the end, the two leading parties picked the first and second positions on the ballot paper, in a move that has intensified campaigns with party faithful reading meanings into the positions.
