As the world commemorates the Breast Cancer Awareness month, women in low-income countries have been urged to regularly screen for cases of cancer.
Statistics from the World Health Organisation (WHO) indicates that in 2018, there was an estimated 2.1 million new cases of breast cancer and 627,000 deaths from breast cancer worldwide.
WHO estimates that by 2025, over 19.3 million women, with the majority from Sub Saharan African will suffer from breast cancer.
