In Côte d’Ivoire, two leading opposition parties—the PPA-CI and the PDCI-RDA—have postponed their planned protest originally set for Saturday, October 4th.

The joint demonstration, which was banned by authorities, has been rescheduled for October 11th.

Both parties say the march aims to denounce government restrictions on political freedoms ahead of next year’s presidential election.
