The National Security Council of Côte d’Ivoire has dissolved all student unions. This follows the murder of two students in Abidjan a few weeks ago, who were members of the Student and School Federation of Côte d’Ivoire (FESCI). They were reportedly killed by their still unidentified FESCI colleagues.
In response to public outrage, the government has taken the matter very seriously and announced that it would take strict measures to restore order within universities and student associations.
