In Ghana, with barely two months to the general elections in Ghana, the president of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Albert Kwabena Dwumfour has urged political parties and powerful people in the country to desist from attacking and abusing journalists ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the 28th GJA Media Awards ceremony, Mr. Dwumfour noted that an attack on the media is an attacked on the country’s democracy.
