President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has warned that Africa’s reliance on exporting raw minerals is perpetuating poverty and underdevelopment

Speaking at the African Minerals Strategy Group meeting on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Tinubu said Africa’s vast mineral resources were being extracted and exported without local processing, only to be sold back to the continent as finished products at higher prices.
