The legal team of Gambian President Adama Barrow has threatened legal action against Musa Sheriff, the Managing Director of the Voice Newspaper.

The legal team has since given an ultimatum of 24 hours for the newspaper editor to make a public apology or face legal action.

This comes after the Voice Newspaper claimed President Barrow has chosen business tycoon Muhammed Jah to lead his National People’s Party NPP as candidate for 2026 presidential election.
