Cote d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Water & Forests bans possession of wild animals

In Ivory Coast, as part of the fight against monkeypox, the Ministry of Water and Forests, through a press release, has banned the possession of live wild animals.

The move comes after cases of monkeypox were recorded in the country.

According to the authorities, this is in order to stop the spread of the disease virus.
