In Togo, consultations on the revision of the constitution come to an end this Wednesday.
The text is now before parliament for a second reading.
Although it is fiercely contested by the opposition and civil society, the government has been holding talks with various stakeholders since Monday.
The opposition, which has boycotted these meetings, is preparing to stage a 3-day demonstration starting this Thursday despite a ban announced late Tuesday by the government.
