During the meeting, the foreign ministers of The Gambia and Russia deliberated on responses to the growing terrorist menace on the African continent.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov revealed in a press conference on Tuesday that the talks specifically addressed issues in the Sahara-Sahel region, addressing security concerns in Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Chad.
