Large-scale vaccination against malaria in Africa is about to begin, according to the vaccine alliance Gavi.
More than 300,000 doses of RTS.S the malaria vaccine developed by the British pharmaceutical group GSK, have arrived in Cameroon.
Burkina Faso, Liberia, Niger and Sierra Leone are expected to receive 1.7 million doses in the coming weeks.
On Wednesday, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, announced malaria vaccination in the highest-risk areas of the African continent.
