The Nigerien Junta was at the ECOWAS Court on Tuesday to ask for the lifting of economic sanctions imposed on the country following the July 26 coup.

The legal team representing the CNSP argued that all sectors of the nation’s economy have been hit by the sanctions.

Younkaila Yaye led the junta’s legal pool at the hearing in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

As Oge Obeirka reports, the hearing has been adjourned to December 7, 2023
