The Niger military government has received a substantial sum of $28 million from the Saudi kingdom to enhance its education system.
The funds were handed over on the spot to Niger’s Prime Minister, Mahamane Lamine Zeine, at the conclusion of the Saudi Arabia-Africa summit in Riyadh. Prime Minister Zeine engaged in numerous discussions with Saudi authorities to reinforce cooperation between Riyadh and Niamey.
Stakeholders in Niger’s education sector express hope that these funds will significantly contribute to improving the country’s struggling education system.
