The UN mission known as MINUSMA has announced its evacuation from the Kidal camp by next week.
On Thursday, the United Nations peacekeeping force said it had evacuated its unnecessary personnel from the town, which is controlled by armed independence groups.
This early withdrawal of the UN mission from the town of Kidal is due to, what it termed the considerable deterioration in the security situation in the area.
This area like others in the north, has seen increased fighting between the pro-independence armed groups and the regular army for control of the bases left by the MINUSMA.
