Nigeria’s army’s troops from One Mechanized Division successfully rescued six individuals who had been kidnapped in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State during a recent clearance operation.

According to a statement from Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, the Acting Public Relations Officer of One Mechanized Division, the troops received credible intelligence about the abduction of six individuals in the Hayin Tsando general area of Maraban Jos.

Acting swiftly, they launched a search and rescue operation, engaging the bandits in a fierce gun battle that led to the safe recovery of the kidnapped victims.

He added that the troops eliminated one of the bandits and retrieved two AK-47 rifles, while several others managed to escape with gunshot injuries.
