Authorities in the United States have extended a temporary deportation relief status for Cameroonians living in the country.

The relief status tagged “redesignation of Cameroon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) “was yesterday, Friday extended for 18 months from December 8 through June 7, 2025.

Washington DC says the action is due to human rights abuses and violent extremism bordering the country.
